RIG TRAINING

WELCOME TO RIG TRAINING

I'm Chris Rigby, a dedicated husband and father of two wonderful children, passionate about health, fitness, and personal growth. Growing up on a family farm, my early years were spent bailing hay and caring for horses, instilling in me a strong work ethic and a love for physical activity. 

My passion for fitness began in my teens when I discovered the gym, captivated by the art of body development and the pursuit of a strong, healthy physique. However, my journey in fitness quickly evolved beyond the desire for six-pack abs and a muscular build. I became deeply interested in movement, performance, and overall wellness. My goal has always been to understand and achieve optimal strength, functionality, and aesthetic appeal—a pursuit that continues to drive me today. 

At 21, I joined the Police Force, a demanding career that required peak physical conditioning. After seven years on the front line, I made the bold decision to follow my true passion—fitness. In 2012, while living in New York, I discovered CrossFit. The unique training style, coaching, and methodology resonated with me, igniting a new level of enthusiasm for fitness. A year later, I relocated to the Middle East, where I spent five years establishing and running two CrossFit gyms and launching a fitness industry business. During this period, I began collaborating with Eleiko, eventually joining them as a Sales Manager in the UK.
 
Throughout my journey, I have amassed extensive knowledge about fitness, health, and performance. I understand how individuals respond to different training styles and how to achieve optimal results with tailored fitness programs. This expertise led to the creation of RIG TRAINING, where I combine my experience and unique approach to fitness programming. 

At RIG TRAINING, we believe in a lifestyle of dedication and passion. Our programs are designed to be functional, demanding, and challenging, pushing you to work hard for the results you desire. There are no shortcuts—only a commitment to the process and a relentless pursuit of excellence. 
 

Education & Certifications: 


Sports Science Degree, Personal Trainer Level 3, FA Level 1 & 2 Football Coach, AQA Level 3 Swimming Coach.

CrossFit Certifications: 
Crossfit Level 1 Level 2, Powerlifting Gymnastics Endurance, Eleiko Strength Coach Eleiko Functional Fitness Coach APEC Training Assessor 

Each program I create is thoroughly tested and refined, ensuring it meets the highest standards of effectiveness and safety. I am committed to practicing what I preach, constantly experimenting with new workouts before incorporating them into my programming.
